This long lived cultivar of Dianthus plumarias has glaucous foliage and pure white blooms.  Blooms heavy in spring and sporadically until frost if sheared.  'White Lace' has foliage that is attractive when out of bloom and creates an attractive mound that suppresses weeds.  Tolerates a wide range of growing conditions and can be grown in containers if potted in a well-drained potting soil.  Drought tolerant.

Fertilizer: If using compost apply an 1" at planting time and side dress annually in late fall or early spring.  If using a granular fertilizer, we recommend organic formulations, apply an all purpose formula in early spring annually.  It is only recommended to use liquid fertilizers when the growth is slow, and this is not normally needed.
