Papaver genus contains seventy species of perennials, annuals, and biennials, that range throughout temperate regions around the globe. Normally found in lowlands to high mountains, and are widely cultivated in many situations. The dark green to bluish green leaves are usually pinnatisect, pinnatified, or 3-pinnate. The dimensional flowers are wide and bowl, cup, or saucer shaped. Our perennial poppy offerings are some of the flashiest cultivars of Papaver orientale and Papaver rupifragum.
