Squash Plants

Squash is thought to have originated in North and South America; but actual locality is not really known.  The name squash is derived from the corruption of the Indian name ascutasquash, which means gourd; these plants were most likely tropical vines.  These tender annuals are commonly divided into two groups winter squash and summer squash.  Winter squash has a thick skin that enables long term storage and can normally store for up to 4 months.  Summer squash is typically harvested when immature and used fresh, canned, or frozen.

Our stocky squash plants are grown in 2.5" plugs (root ball 1" across by 2.5" deep) and are at least in the four to six leaf stage if not slightly larger.  We guarantee our squash plants to arrive in good condition or we will replace or refund your money.
