Aster Plants

    Genus containing some 250 species of annuals, biennials, perennials, and sub-shrubs.  Well known for their large daisy-like blooms and alternate leaves which are simple, entire, or lance-shaped.  Their versatile habits spread them throughout mountainous areas to moist woodland sites, in North America and parts of South Africa.
