Daylily 'Bold Tiger'

Bold Tiger is one we've had for over fifteen years and still remains a strong performer.  This regular sized daylily produces large 4" flowers on strong scapes with many scapes per plant.   The blooms start out as bold orange with red eyes and slowly fade to a peachy orange with more subtle red to orange eyes.   As the name suggests it is a bold addition to the mixed perennial border where it adds mid-summer blossoms and occasional autumn repeat blooms.

Bloom Time: Late June - August/repeat blooms until frost
Light Exposure: Full Sun/Partial Shade
Soil Type/pH: Well-drained/5.5-7.0 
Hardiness Zones: 3-9
Fertilizer:  If using compost apply an 1" at planting time and side dress annually in late fall or early spring.  If using a granular fertilizer, we recommend organic formulations, apply an all purpose formula in early spring annually.  It is only recommended to use liquid fertilizers when the growth is slow, and this is not normally needed.
