The purple rooster bee balm is a rewarding perennial with loads of purple blooms from June through September. Having a near true purple color and excellent mildew resistance are key points to this rewarding plant. A great choice for large plantings, planting in groups of three, or adding a splash of color to the mixed border. Easy to grow and long lived.

Fertilizer: If using compost apply an 1" at planting time and side dress annually in late fall or early spring. If using a granular or scratch fertilizer, we recommend organic formulations, apply an all-purpose formula in early spring annually. It is only recommended to use liquid fertilizers when the growth is slow; this is not normally needed.
