Campanula punctata 'Rubrifolia' -1 Plant

A larger flowered compact version of Campanula puncata. 'Rubrifolia' also has intense ruby blooms up to 2.5" long that distant it from pale flowers of the species.  These blooms are borne in summer for four to six weeks and will continue until fall if properly sheared; preventing seed formation.  The foliage is deep green, slightly felted, and leaves are borne densely on the strong flowering stalks as well.  The plants slowly creep by underground rhizomes, and are not invasive.  This hardy perennial is a frequent stop for hummingbirds.
