Tradescantia 'Red Grape, is a compact herbaceous perennial with silver tinted lance shaped leaves and magnitudes of reddish-pink blooms.  Following the characteristics of this plant's namesake, dayflower, the blooms only last for one day with new blooms forming everyday during the blooming season.  A beautiful leaf to bloom contrast.  Easy to grow!

Fertilizer: If using compost apply an 1" at planting time and side dress annually in late fall or early spring.  If using a granular or scratch fertilizer, we recommend organic formulations.  Apply an all purpose formula in early spring annually.  It is only recommended to use liquid fertilizers when the growth is slow, and this is not normally needed.
