Onion 'Cortland' Plants
Onion 'Cortland' Plants
Cortland is a dependable yellow onion that has a mild flavor and excellent shelf life. The signature copper brown skins and white interior make this onion ideal for market sales. Cortland has always been a strong performer in our trials, is easy for first time grower, and the average home gardener alike. We use them for fresh eating, adding to casseroles, and for caramelized onions. Cortland onions will store for 9 months if the temperature is kept at 39° Fahrenheit. Our plants are grown in a climate-controlled greenhouse and are not exposed to cold temperatures that can make them bolt(flower) for best success in the garden.
