An easy to grow perennial, knautia, is a long blooming plant with unique pincushion shaped flowers. 'Red Knight' is a brilliant red variety that sports sturdy stems and rich green foliage. This variety is tolerant of poor soils and is drought tolerant once established. An easy to grow plant for the garden border.

It is only recommended to use liquid fertilizers when the growth is slow, and this is not normally needed.
