Pepper 'Carolina Reaper'

Carolina Reaper is one of the hottest peppers in the world.  It was a fun plant to trial this year with tall plants and masses of peppers.  The tall plants are shrub like and don't need staking like other large, fruited peppers.  The fruits remained clean with no corking through our dry summer with variable rainfall.  They tolerated our heat and humidity better than habanero and the Trinidad scorpion.

Days to Maturity: 75 (green) - 110 (red)
Fertilizer: Apply an all-purpose fertilizer at planting.  We prefer organic for better soil health.  Fertilize weekly with a liquid fertilizer, like fish emulsion, if growth is slow.
