'New Red Fire', is a very well know red lettuce that is slow to bolt, uniform, and great for large sized heads.  The flavor is never bitter, as long as, you keep the plants moist at all times.  It grows equally as well in spring and fall.  New Red Fire is loved by commercial growers for its large sized heads and uniformity but is equally impressive in the home garden where the slow bolting habit meet uniformity with a longer harvest window.  Also, an attractive addition to edible landscapes.
