Heuchera 'Blackout' has rich ebony leaves with an intense glossy sheen. The blooms are creamy white and really stand out over the dark foliage. This heat and humidity tolerant plant is great for breaking up drifts of heucheras with lighter foliage or couple with Heuchera 'Fire Alarm' to create a magnificent duo. The blooms are loved by butterflies, hummingbirds, and other pollinators.

Soil Type/pH: Well-drained/5.5-6.5

Fertilizer: Apply compost or an all-purpose granular fertilizer around plants in early spring.
Water: Monitor plants through first year for moisture; water deep and inconsistently to encourage the roots to go deep. Once established water supplementation should only be needed in extended drought situations or if planting in full sun. Well-draining soils are required for longevity of the plants life
