Platycodon 'Miss Tilly', is a compact balloon flower, with deep green lance shaped leaves that give way to strong flowering stalks. These flowering stalks give way to balloon shape flowers of vibrant blue in early summer. Fading to lilac by mid-summer, the plants finish their summer display by setting pods which carry interest into fall. In mid to late fall the foliage turns a shocking yellow before dying back to the ground level. A great plant for container plantings, mass border plantings, and incorporating into the front of the perennial border.
