Oenothera fruticosa 'Fireworks' Plants, Fireworks Sundrops

  • $ 9.95

Oenothera 'Fireworks', or sundrops, are a very rewarding perennial for just a little bit of labor each year.  These upright plants have strong stems, burgundy red foliage, and cheery blooms that liven up the garden and any blue mood.  The blooms only last for a couple days but they are always pumping them out for a long display over a period of about two months.  The flowers open up in the evening and it's fun to take an evening stroll to see what night time moths and insects are taking advantage of the nectar.  A great groundcover, nice addition to rock gardens, naturalizing in a meadow, or planting near your favorite garden sitting spot to enjoy watching the butterflies, moths, and occasional hummingbird enjoy them.  Drought tolerant once established.
