A first year flowering perennial with smooth lance shaped leaves of reddish purple coloration that give way to salmon colored blooms.  Lobelia 'Fan Salmon' is a strong upright plant that blooms starting in early August and is still going strong in October.  The plants set secondary flowering stalks that makes for a larger display and extended bloom time.  Attracts hummingbirds and pollinators to the garden.

Fertilizer: If using compost apply an 1" at planting time and side dress annually in late fall or early spring.  If using a granular fertilizer, we recommend organic formulations, apply an all purpose formula in early spring annually.  It is only recommended to use liquid fertilizers when the growth is slow, and this is not normally needed.
