'Provence' is a aromatic cross between Lavandula angustifolia and Lavandula latifolia.  These two parents produced a baby that is bigger and bushier than them.  'Provence' grows up 30" tall and can spread up to four feet wide.  It is quite the focal point in the early summer garden when the plants are topped with hundreds of thousands of blooms.  Loved by bees, butterflies, and the occasional hummingbird.  The fragrance is very soothing making this plant perfect for edging walkways and planting by steps.  A nice plant when grown alone or in a large group.  Also beautiful when mixed together with bolder blooming plants in the mix border.
