Hydrangea 'All Summer Beauty' Plants

Hydrangea 'All Summer Beauty' Plants

Hydrangea 'All Summer Beauty' is a beautiful blue mophead hydrangea that flowers on new growth; therefore, the untidiness of winter dieback isn't an issue.  Since, blooms are borne on new growth there are more blooms over the duration of the summer.  The blooms are large clusters of vivid blue (acidic soils) or pink (alkaline soils) that reach upwards of 6" across with smaller ones being 4".  This vigorous performer is an awesome addition to the perennial border, as a shrub in home border installations, and looks particularly tunning in mass plantings.

Bloom Time: June - October, rebloomer

Fertilizer: If using compost apply an 1" at planting time and side dress annually in late fall or early spring.  If using a granular fertilizer or a scratch fertilizer, we recommend organic formulations, apply an all-purpose formula in early spring annually.  It is only recommended to use liquid fertilizers when the growth is slow, and this is not normally needed.
Pruning: Remove dead branches in fall/winter.  Shape plants to preferred shape in fall or winter before spring growth.  Cut off spent blooms throughout the summer blooming season.
