Echinacea purpurea 'Double Decker' Plants

Echinacea 'Double Decker', a unique coneflower, has single flowers within the first growing season and then a good percentage of doubles in the second year and so on.  Since, not all flowers on a given plant will be double it adds mystery to the garden border.  The flowers are a bold wine purple with large cones.  Great for landscape, kids gardens, and specimen plantings.  Grow where it can be marveled at by on-lookers.

Fertilizer: If using compost apply an 1" at planting time and side dress annually in late fall or early spring.  If using a granular fertilizer, we recommend organic formulations, apply an all purpose formula in early spring annually.  It is only recommended to use liquid fertilizers when the growth is slow, and this is not normally needed.
