Echinacea Kismet® Red

Echinacea Kismet® Red' is a compact echinacea with bold blooms over a long duration in summer.  The intense reddish-purple blooms bring a unique color and pop to the landscape.  A great border perennial that is effective as a stand-alone plant or in large groups.  The seed heads attract goldfinches and other seed eating birds in late fall and winter.

Hardiness Zones: 4-10
Fertilizer: If using compost apply an 1" at planting time and side dress annually in late fall or early spring.  If using a granular fertilizer, we recommend organic formulations, apply an all-purpose formula in early spring annually.  It is only recommended to use liquid fertilizers when the growth is slow, and this is not normally needed.
