This dwarf columbine has vibrant bi-colored blooms. The rare bloom combination of blackcurrant and buttery yellow really stand out in the shade garden. 'Blackcurrant Ice' has a rather long bloom season for a columbine and may bloom again in fall if not allowed to go to seed. The foliage is blue-green with attractive red stems. In cool weather the leaves blush a brilliant crimson color. Great for containers or the front of the garden border.
