Andropogon gerardii 'Red October' PP26283
Andropogon 'Red October', is a striking version of the native Big Bluestem grass! This tall grass emerges with red tipped deep green blades in spring and maintains this color scheme throughout the summer. In the coolness of autumn the leaves turn vivid shades of red with similarly colored inflorescences. Attractive to the back of the border, as a privacy screen, in meadows, and native themed gardens. A good choice for erosion control as well.
