Missing from the agastache lineup has always been a really great red. 'Kudos Red' fixes that problem and is an exciting win for the hummingbirds. This selection of Agastache aurantiaca parentage has the smaller blue-green leaves that have a slight silver look. The scent is a mild licorice smell and only noticeable when brushed. The tubular blooms are up to 2" long and borne abundantly on large flowering heads. A strong performer in the garden and in the pot. We are loving how quickly it grows in the greenhouse so we know it will be a win in the landscape. Loved by butterflies, bees, and those hummers. Deer and rabbits seem to leave them alone. A drought tolerant perennial when established.
