Agastache 'Astello Indigo' Plants

Agastache 'Astello Indigo', is a brilliant agastache that received the 2012 Fleuroselect Gold Medal for its outstanding garden performance.  The lighter blue flowers burst out of indigo flowering bracts for a unique color contrast.  Tall columnar blooming spikes are borne on top of strong square stems for a long period in summer.  The foliage is a rich green, slightly serrate, and deliciously licorice scented.  There is no browning to the bracts so even after the flowers fade the blooming columns still look attractive.  Eventually, in fall the leaves turn gold and the ripe flowering heads turn amber as the songbirds feast on the seeds. Our favorite blue!  A favorite of songbirds, butterflies and other pollinators.
