Achillea 'Heartthrob' Plants
Achillea 'Heartthrob' is a neat improvement for this species as it has a strong upright stature, great branching for more blooms, and a rich red color. This summer long bloomer has texturally appealing foliage that is fern-like and a deep shade of green. Due to the extreme hardiness of this perennial they can be grown and over-wintered in containers. This US native plant is a strong attractor of butterflies and hummingbirds. Plant as a stand alone planting in the foreground or plant in groups of three or more within the mixed border for bolder appeal. Easy to grow and drought tolerant once established.
