'Black Brandywine', is just as juicy as the regular brandywine, but whether it tastes better is up for debate.  Some rival it over the traditional brandywine while others still prefer the orginal.  Where ever you stand it is a good producer and full of heirloom flavor.  The fruits are large and a smoky rose.  The foliage is potato leaf like 'Brandywine' and is good at keep the fruits in the shade.  We have customers in Georgia that report good fruiting during the hot humid summers.  Originally comes from Pennsylvania and was developed by Dr. Harold E. Martin.
