Rocky Ford Muskmelon Plants

'Rocky Ford', is an average sized muskmelon that is well known for it's fine grain texture and sweet flesh.  This variety has marveled melon lovers since 1881.  The fruits are heavily netted and lightly ribbed.  Pick when fruit slips from vine or is slightly fragrant.

Spacing: 12"-18" apart w/ rows 5'-6' apart, allow at least 36 square feet in small gardens

Fertilizer: Apply an all-purpose fertilizer granular fertilizer or similar scratch fertlizer at planting.  We prefer organic for better soil health.  Fertilize weekly with fish emulsion or a nitrogen rich liquid fertilizer.
