The sedum genus contains over 400 species of succulent perennials, annuals, sub-shrubs, shrubs, and deciduous biennials. Sedums are dispersed throughout the Northern Hemisphere, mainly found in mountainous areas, though some are found in arid regions of South America. Our sedum plant offerings are tough perennials that offer color and ease of culture to the garden border.

Sedum (Stonecrop) Growing Tips
|
|
- Plant in a well-drained soil that has been slightly enriched with organic matter.
- Do not provide a rich garden soil, as these are waste land plants, and will stretch in soils
high in organic matter. Well-drained mineral soils are best.
- Before planting make sure the pH of your soil is within a 5.5-7.0 for optimum growth
and flowering.
- Sedum plants thrive in full sun and do not perform as well in partial shade.
- Plants can be divided in early spring or late fall three years or more after transplanting.
- Avoid overhead irrigation on sedum plants as they thrive without supplemental watering
