Leucanthemum (Shasta Daisy) Plants
A genus comprised of 26 species of annuals, and perennials, that inhabit moist meadows,
grasslands, and wastelands in Europe, and temperate Asia.  Cultivated for their daisy-like
flowers and neat habits.  Our Shasta Daisy plant offerings are hardy perennials that offer
abundant blooms and top quality performance to the garden border.
Leucanthemum (Shasta Daisy) Growing Tips
  • Plant in a well-drained soil that has been enriched with organic matter or already has an
    adequate amount of organic matter.
  • Add compost to the planting hole to feed a growing plant and to encourage an even soil
    moisture.
  • Before planting make sure the pH of your soil is within a 5.5-7.0 for optimum growth
    and flowering.
  • Shasta Daisy plants enjoy full sun, but will tolerate partial shade.
  • If planting in containers make sure to add sand to the planting medium to aid in drainage.
  • Trim off spent flowers to encourage a longer blooming season.  Though, allowing the
spent blooms to stay will ensure the shasta daisy plants produce seed, which is loved by
    many songbirds.
