Onion - The cultivation of onions dates so far back that
their region of origin is almost impossible to trace. They
were used in early Greece and Eygpt, and are even
mentioned in the Bible. Onions or Allium cepa is a member
of the lily family and is cultivated for their delicious
bulbous tubers and attractive flowering heads.
